Almasi Afrika Initiative (AAI) is apan-African independent not – for- profit research, policy and advocacy think tank, Working closely with network of researchers, practitioners, policy makers, state and non state actors in East African region and the rest of Africa to provide evidence-based policy options that put the people of Africa at the centre of policy development and implementation at all levels.  At AAI, We strongly believe through  harnessing the principles and ideas of rigorous research to   inform, dialogue, and influence public policy to facilitate the socio-economic development and stability  of African continent.

Capacity building

Almasi Afrika helps stakeholders and communities develop skills and adapt to change for sustainability. Capacity building involves changing mindsets, not just performing tasks.

Communications and advocacy

Communication and advocacy are now essential for delivering results. We have fully integrated them into our programs planning and delivery.

Communications and advocacy,its an opportunity to check in people in given country and make adjustments to ensure information given responds to the people's needs.

What We Do

Almasi Afrika Initiative (AAI) our Work are being inspired by 7 Aspirations of Africa agenda 2063, Africa shall have: An entrenched and flourishing culture of human rights, democracy, Gender equality, inclusive and peace, prosperity, security and safer for all citizens culminating to an Africa whose developments should be citizens driven. Prior to that, AAI identified 10 programme areas to focus on:

Security and peace Governance;

The African Union (AU) leads policy making implementation of decisions, peace and security council (PSC) which is the standing decision- making  Organ of the AU for prevention,management and resolution of conflicts aimed at ensuring that Africa- achieve aspiration 4 of agenda 2063 which aspires for “Peaceful  and secure Africa” Through the use of mechanisms that promote dialogue-centered approach to conflict prevention and resolution of conflicts of establishing of culture of peace and tolerance nurtured in Africa’s children and youth through peace education.
